SOME UPCOMING LOCAL AND NATIONAL PHILATELIC EVENTS

In this section we will list some local and national events that might be of interest to our Members and fellow philatelists. 

We will try and ensure these listings are accurate but, especially in this time of a pandemic, anyone planning to attend an event should always check with the organisers beforehand about any changes in date, time or place, or any Covid related restrictions that will be in force for the event. 

 

AUTUMN STAMPEX

29 September to 2 October 2021

At the Business Design Centre London.

Entry on the first day will cots £10; entry on the remaining three days is free. 

Tickates for the online version of the exhibition will cost £5.

THE NATIONAL PHILATELIC SOCIETY

Saturday 11 September. A silent auction at the Phoenix Centre, Phoenix Place, London WC1X 0DG. 10.00 am to 4;30 pm. 

Saturday 6 November. Grand Postal and Room Auction at the Phoenix Centre: 10:30 am with the auction starting at 1:30 pm. 

For the moment its is planned that the London meetings of the NPSD will be bi-monthly with Zoom meetings held in the intervening months. 

The first Zoom meeting is scheduled for Saturday 9 October starting at 3 pm . NPS Members wishing to register for this meeting should contact Simon Richards on simon@sidebell.co.uk

RIPLEY  STAMP CLUB FAIR

 Ripley Stamp Club Fair has now restarted meetings but in a new location:  West Horsley Village Hall, The Street, West Horsley, Leatherhead KT24 6DD on 2nd Wednesday of each month.

 

TWICKENHAM PHILATELIC SCOIETY

Will "cautiously" restart monthly face to face meetings on 2 September. Meeting in the Methodist Church Hall in Teddington at 1pm for about 90 minutes. The meetings will be very informal and the aim is to provide a forum for members to start gathering together again after the period of the Covid restrictions. 

From 16 September the Society will also restart a monthly Zoom meeting.

THE POSTAL MUSEUM 

Following the relaxation of some restrictions imposed during the Covic-19 pandemic the Postal Museum in London is now open again.

LONDON 2022

Plans for the London 2022 International stamp exhibition are in progress. Postponed from 2020 because of the Covid-19 Pandemic it is now believed that with the global vaccination programme now underway the event may safely be held. 

The Exhibition will take place between 19 and 26 February 2022 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London.
